Davida inherited her psychic abilities from her parents and paternal grandmother. As a child, her mother studied palmistry and encouraged her interests in palmistry, handwriting analysis, numerology and Tarot cards. She began reading Tarot cards at the age of 15. At the age of 18, she discovered and developed her abilities as a trance medium while participating in her father's weekly meditation group.
Shortly after her fathers death, she began to read Tarot cards professionally and continued developing her other gifts of clairvoyance, clairaudience and clairsentience.
Through Kathryn Haun, a clairvoyant healer, Davida began working in the Excalibur nightclub performing readings on Wednesday evenings and weekends. Her relationship with Kathryn brought about an opportunity to work the annual "Zazz Bash"one of the largest singles mixers in Chicago. The originator of this event was former Sun-Times columnist Jeffrey Zaslow. She enjoyed working with Jeff and coordinating a terrific group of psychics for this event for over 10 years.
In 1994, Davida relocated to Los Angeles and began to establish herself, once again, on the party circuit, working with some of the finest event planners, hotels and caterers. She also participated as an exhibitor, performing readings, at the Whole Life Expos in Los Angeles and Pasadena.
In 1995, Davida briefly performed readings online in CompuServes New Age Forum. A few years later, at the request of an independent producer, she consented to work as a telephone psychic for Psychic Encounters, one of the more respectable Psychic hotlines, as part of a research project.
At the urging of several friends, she contacted several radio stations with regard to working as a radio psychic. KRLA-AM radio responded to her inquiry and asked her to be their "Psychic Home Girl." As is often the case in radio, KRLA-AM changed their format and she was no longer on the air.
After being repeatedly asked at expos, "
when are you lecturing?" she took it as a sign that she should start expanding in that arena. Her lecture, "Connecting to the Spirit Within," at the "Adventures in Body, Mind and Spirit Expo" in Spokane, was often "standing room only."
On February 6, 2001, Davida was briefly featured reading Tarot cards on Lifetime's television show Operation Style's "Bridal Shower" episode. Opportunity knocked again, and she was hired to read Tarot cards on an upcoming episode of WE Entertainment's reality series "Daddy's Spoiled Little Girl" (a Moroccan Birthday Party--airdate Unknown).
Davida is currently a member of both Santa Monica Community College's and West Los Angeles College's adult education faculties. She offers classes on how to read Tarot cards without reading a book. Her classes provide her students with hands-on experience in a friendly, loving environment.
Davida is a favorite entertainer of many movie and television industry professionals at both their industry and private parties. She builds relationships with her clients. While they may not need her services with any great frequency, they find her insight into their life changes and opportunities incredibly valuable. She is a consummate professional, accurate, and entertaining!
Davida is a strong advocate of removing ignorance related to the intuitive arts, was a member of the now defunct International Tarot Society and is active in the international Tarot community. She continues to see clients, work events and lecture whenever possible.
Her mission is three-fold:
-
To bring enlightenment to the world through entertaining, speaking and counseling individuals and groups,
-
To facilitate mainstream acceptance of psychics and other intuitive arts practitioners, and
-
To work with corporations and other organizations as a consultant in the hiring, strategic planning, decision-making and creative processes of their businesses.
